Here's the full story of how it came to be, what I did right, and what I got completely wrong.
The Beginning
It started during the pandemic. I was already making YouTube videos about tech and freelancing, and I kept getting the same questions from students:
- "How do I get my first client?"
- "What skills should I learn?" - "How do I actually make money online?"
I was answering the same questions over and over in DMs. So I thought โ what if I just packaged all this into a course?
Building the First Product
The first thing I built was a simple PDF guide on freelancing. Sold it for โน299. It made โน8,000 in the first week.
That was the validation I needed. People were willing to pay for structured, actionable knowledge.
## Growing to 10K Students
The growth didn't happen overnight. Here's what actually moved the needle:
Lessons Learned
The biggest lesson? Start smaller than you think. My first "course" was literally a 20-page PDF. You don't need a fancy LMS or a polished website.
Ship something. Get feedback. Improve. Repeat.
That's the whole game.
