Before starting my challenge, I had a major doubt in my mind, how do I identify if a fabric or print is good or not? There are just too many factors. I’ll be talking about the most common ones here.
First is GSM which is grams per sq meter. Usually low quality tshirts use 160 gsm fabric which is pretty thin, 180 gsm is the standard for tshirts and for oversized it goes upto 240gsm.
Then comes prints. This is a dtf or a direct to fabric print. You can actually feel a glossy sticker here. This type of print is the same one which you see on cups and other items.
Then comes puff print or rubber print. As the name suggests the print is in the form of rubber on top of the clothes. This is usually used by premium brands.
After this we have screen printing. Screen prints cannot be felt on the fabric. This is basically like colouring the fabric directly.
